Gorgeous cover for Romance Diaries: Stella
Here’s the fabulous cover For Romance Diaries: Stella, coming out on August 1, and something about the book from the press release about it:
It’s a truth universally acknowledged that a fresh take on Pride and Prejudice must be in want of:
1 x teen media queen with a multi-million-dollar empire
1 x tall, dark and handsome intern
A healthy dose of misjudgment and misunderstandings
Sixteen-year-old Stella isn’t exactly your ordinary teenager. Since inheriting a media empire from her mum, her days have been filled with fashion shoots, lunches with celebrities and editorial meetings. When the indie-cool Alex Dudek starts as an intern, he decides Stella is nothing but a spoilt, rich airhead. But when circumstances throw the pair together, they can’t help but get to know each other.
Could Alex have misjudged Stella? Will Stella let go of her pride and admit she was wrong about Alex? A sweet tale of love and teen magazines – perfect for readers 10-14.
Young reader’s review of Romance Diaries: Ruby
I got this absolutely fabulous review of Romance Diaries the other day, written by a keen young reader, Nell Shepherd, who just loved the book. With her permission, I’m sharing it here.
Review by Nell Shepherd:
The Romance Diaries was a fun and interesting romance story. It was thrilling and captured you right away because of the mysterious emails the main character Ruby kept getting. It was captivating. I couldn’t put it down.
I liked the fact that a character mentioned at the start of the book came back to surprise everyone! I highly rate this book as one for teenage girls, like me, who love romance stories. It portrays teenage social Dramas and the funny events that every teenage girl experiences. I just loved this book. I would give it an eleven out of ten! And I can’t wait for the next Romance Diary!

Editing Romance Diaries: Stella
Had a lot of fun over the last few weeks going over the copy edit of Romance Diaries: Stella(out in September). The editor working on it with me just loves the book(she also edited Ruby) and it has been a most enjoyable process. Stella’s a very different character to Ruby; less bouncy, more isolated, and she has some large issues on her hands, not the least of which is trying to measure up to her mother’s legacy as a media mogul! There’s is a small link in Stella to the first book; hope readers will have fun spotting it.
Stella goes off to typesetter then and then I’ll see first pages. Meanwhile I’m seeing Ruby in just about every bookshop I go to, which is very pleasing!
Ruby trailer!
